Division of Gaming’s Monthly Limited Gaming Data Shows Significant Increase in Total Taxes Collected

Lakewood - October 21, 2025 -  New monthly Colorado Division of Gaming data shows a sharp, triple-digit percentage spike in tax revenue powered by limited gaming’s growth.  

The Division’s August 2025 limited gaming report shows that tax revenue rose with the state collecting $13,512,931.33 — a 109.1% increase from July. August’s total taxes collected also increased 7.12% over August 2024 totals and represent an important source of funding for state programs and services.

"We are pleased to see the consistent performance of Colorado's gaming industry, particularly the notable increase in taxes," said Christopher Schroder, Director of the Division of Gaming. "These tax revenues play a vital role in supporting various state programs and services throughout the state, demonstrating the industry's commitment to the economic well-being of Colorado. Total Adjusted Gross Proceeds (AGP) for August reached $103,787,608.14, marking a 3.39% increase from July 2025 and a 3.93% increase compared to August 2024. This growth was driven by strong performances in both coin-in and table drop. Coin-in, representing the total amount wagered for slot machines, increased by 1.54% from the prior month and 3.77% from August 2024, reaching $1,112,841,355.36. Table drop also saw an increase of 1.13% from July and 4.03% from the previous year, totaling $69,738,863.18.

For the fiscal year-to-date through August, total taxes have reached $19,975,490.60, an 8.03% increase over the same period in fiscal year 2025. Table AGP for the fiscal year-to-date also increased by 4.03% to $204,169,890.98 compared to the previous fiscal year.
