LAKEWOOD - January 8, 2026 – Sports betting continues to grow as Coloradans bet 7.2% more in November 2025 than in November 2024, with a total handle of $694,612,535.33.

Additionally, monthly data from the Colorado Division of Gaming has the total wagers for the fiscal-year-to-date at $2,753,457,043.92, a 9.92% increase over the same period last year.

This growth fueled a 13.41% increase in taxes collected in November, netting the $4,489,427.08 for vital state programs like water conservation and responsible gaming initiatives. During the current fiscal-year-to-date, sports bettors have contributed $18,904,561.40, a 24.41% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Full figures are available online or in the tables at the end of this news release.

"The ongoing increase in the amount wagered and the taxes we collect really shows how well Colorado's regulated sports betting market is working," Gaming Director Christopher Schroder said. "What's most important is that the big jump in tax money this year means we can directly pour more funds into essential water conservation and infrastructure projects across the state."

SPORTS BETTING FUNDS WATER PROJECTS ACROSS COLORADO

Sports betting revenue directly supports Colorado’s Water Plan Grant program, which funds critical water projects and advances the goals of the Colorado Water PlanThe Water Grant Program provides funding to efforts like the Gunnison Water Supply Project, which is helping City of Gunnison plans to upgrade its water infrastructure to increase its water system’s resilience to climate change impacts, such as wildfires and drought.
