NFL Conference Championship weekend shines light on Responsible Gaming

Division of Gaming reminds Coloradans to Bet Smart

DENVER – January 22, 2026 – As the NFL playoffs move into the conference championship weekend, the Division of Gaming reminds Coloradans to continue to Bet Smart and know that there are resources available for those who need it.

"The NFL conference championship games are an exciting time for football fans across Colorado, and we want everyone to enjoy the games responsibly and safely," said Christopher Schroder, Director of Division of Gaming. "As the stakes get higher, it's important to remember that sports betting should always be fun. We encourage all bettors to set limits, stick to them, and be aware of the resources available if they or someone they know needs help."

Responsible Gaming Ttips

The Division of Gaming encourages bettors to add these Responsible Gaming practices into their routine:

  • Take Breaks: Step away from the betting environment regularly to clear your head.
  • Balance Gambling with Other Activities: Ensure betting does not take the place of family, friends, or other hobbies.
  • Seek Help If Needed: If you feel you are losing control, confidential help is available.
