Sports Betting Numbers for November Released by Colorado Division of Gaming
LAKEWOOD, Wednesday, January 4, 2023- The Colorado Division of Gaming released the November 2022 monthly sports betting figures today.
The total handle for November 2022 was $552,603,013, a 4.9% increase from the total handle of the prior month, October 2022, of $526,619,777. A year-to-year comparison shows a 16.2% increase from the total handle of November 2021, $475,441,229.
Taxes collected by the state in November 2022 from sports betting wagers totaled $2,581,533, representing a 10.8% increase over the prior month, October 2022, of $2,330,705. The monthly November 2022 tax total represents a 30.4% increase from the taxes collected in the same month previous year of November 2021 of $1,979,134.
Fiscal year taxes to date for November are $10,816,035, a 98.95% increase from the fiscal year taxes to date for November 2021 of $5,436,615.
In November, Basketball placed in the top spot for the month with $142,186,630 in total wagers, followed by Pro American Football with $135,263,417 in bets. Wagers on NCAA Football placed third with $48,051,338. The fourth spot went to NCAA Basketball with $38,982,393, and Soccer finished in the fifth slot with $27,709,807 in total wagers.
