CORRECTION: Colorado May Sports Betting Data Shows Over $33.7 Million Fiscal Year-To-Date Taxes Collected

Lakewood - June 25, 2025 – The Colorado Division of Gaming announced today that the total handle of $495,332,856.34 for May 2025 is a 2.47% decrease from the total handle of $507,860,831.16 for April. It is also a 10.67% increase from the $447,561,934.48 total handle for May 2024. The Division apologizes for an earlier release with misaligned data.

"Colorado's sports betting market continues to demonstrate robust growth, as shown by the total taxes collected," said Christopher Schroder, Director of Gaming. "We want to remind everyone who needs support to visit BetSmart.Colorado.gov or call/text 1-800-GAMBLER."

Annual sports betting tax revenue is used for water conservation and protection projects, which provide a framework for helping Colorado meet its water challenges.
