LAKEWOOD - December 22, 2025 – The Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission today announced the resignation of Commissioner Alice Cary, Silverthorne Police Chief. Cary, a highly respected leader in Colorado law enforcement, is stepping down to ensure the Commission remains in strict compliance with state statute after an administrative error was discovered regarding the five-year Colorado residency requirement for Commissioners, as outlined in CRS 44-30-301(1). Cary, a recent and highly valuable addition to Colorado’s leadership community, has not yet met the full five-year residency period.
