Lakewood - March 31, 2025 - New sports betting data from the Colorado Department of Revenue, Division of Gaming shows big increases in taxes collected and fiscal year-to-date wagers.
February 2025 sports betting numbers show Colorado continues to grow, with $4,307,110,645 wagered from the beginning of the fiscal year on July 1, 2024 to date, a 4.71% increase over February 2024. Additionally, Colorado collected over $24.5 million in taxes, a 19.07% increase in fiscal year-to-date taxes.
"After a record-setting January for sports betting, February continues to show growth with over $24.5 million collected in Fiscal Year To Date Taxes," Director of Gaming Christopher Schroder said. “A strong, safe, and fair sports betting industry is good for Colorado and its bettors. The funds they raise each month are helping Colorado fund water conservation efforts.”
All sports betting tax revenue annually is used for water conservation and protection projects, which provides a framework for helping Colorado meet its water challenges.
