Colorado Division of Gaming Announces August 2024 Sports Betting Figures

Taxes Collected on Sports Betting Show Increase in Fiscal Year Taxes To Date Collected During August 2023

 

Lakewood - October 1, 2024 - The Colorado Division of Gaming, part of the Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR), released the monthly sports betting figures for August 2024. 

Fiscal year sports betting taxes collected continued to increase, with a 32.37% increase through August 2024 compared to the same period last year. 

 

Here are the figures:

 

Total Handle: August 2024

$372,378,663.79 (16.22% increase from July 2024)

Represents a 21.67% increase from the total handle for August 2023 ($306,065,790.69)

Total Handle: July 2024

$320,396,840.88

 

Total Taxes: August 2024

$2,375,442.81  (0.24% increase from July 2024)

Represents a 31.53% increase from August 2023 ($1,806,025.29)

Total Taxes: July 2024

$2,369,730.08

 

Fiscal Year To Date Wagers, including August 2024

$692,775,504.67

Represents a 17.98%  increase from the FYTD Wagers from August  2023 ($587,176,281.05)

Fiscal Year To Date Taxes, including August 2024

$4,745,172.89

Represents a 32.37% increase from the FYTD Taxes from July 2023 ($3,584,797.88)
