Liquor Law Update & SB18-243

May 10, 2018

Dear Liquor Stakeholders,

As many of you are aware, the Colorado Legislature passed Senate Bill 18-243 yesterday. This bill has many changes to liquor law that could affect your business or industry.

If this bill becomes law, the Liquor Enforcement Division (LED) will conduct separate classes on the specific details of the bill and will develop a training slideshow in order to address questions and concerns.

However, until the bill becomes law, the LED will not answer questions about the impact of SB18-243 to the liquor industry. The LED is committed to providing education to the industry concerning any law changes.

To this end, the LED will be having five classes that will cover all other law changes that occurred in the 2018 Legislative session.

Summary Guide

There is no need to register for the class and there is no cost. Unfortunately, we will not be able to have a live telephone conference during the training, however, we are looking at the possibility of recording the training and making it available on our website.

If you have any questions, you can either contact us at 303-205-2306 or at dor_led@state.co.us.

As you can imagine, we are receiving several calls about the law changes so we ask that you wait for the classes and training guides to answer your questions.

Thank you for the support as we head into a new year of rule making and law changes.

Sincerely,

Patrick Maroney
Director
Liquor Enforcement Division
