Cannabis Sustainability Work Group

 MED now facilitates the Cannabis Sustainability Work Group (CSWG) going forward. The Cannabis Sustainability Work Group’s mission is to promote sustainability in the cannabis industry through education, the development and dissemination of best practices, and the facilitation of dialogue between the cannabis industry, the community, and technical experts.

Members of the workgroup represent a variety of stakeholders, including cannabis business owners, consultants and contractors, government, and sustainability and policy experts. Each member of the Work Group participates in one of four committees:

1. Events & Outreach,

2. Best Management Practices & Data,

3. Policy, Symposium, Commercialization, or

4. Language & Literacy.

The MED is pleased to share the Cannabis Sustainability Working Group 2023 Best Management Practices Guide. This guide was compiled by members of the Cannabis Sustainability Work Group and is intended to provide best practices for the sustainable operation of cannabis businesses. The MED did not draft or revise any part of the guide.
