BULLETIN 20-17 SUPPLIER SAMPLING AND TOUR PROCEDURES

DATE: AUGUST 26, 2020

LED is publishing this bulletin in order to outline the requirements and best practices for suppliers conducting facility tours and associated alcohol beverage sampling during the COVID19 pandemic.

1. Available time slots should be booked ahead of time by a single party with a designated time to arrive at the supplier premises. Separate groups of tour patrons should not be commingled, and the maximum group size cannot exceed 10 persons, inclusive of supplier staff conducting the tour.

2. The supplier tour guide should meet the party at the front door and take each individual's temperature. The party should then be escorted to a designated waiting area within the premises. They will then be given a safety brief which should include: (1) the mandatory wearing of a face mask during the tour portion; and (2) the mandatory maintenance of a 6-foot separation from the guide at all times. An outlined pathway with zero touchable surface areas should be in effect. Hand sanitizer must be provided for use.

3. The party may then be escorted into the facility for the tour. During the tour, the only staff member having any contact with the party should be the tour guide, until such time as the party is escorted back into the designated area of the premises to be used for sampling.

4. On completion of the tour, the patrons will be escorted to a pre-designated area to be seated where a short sampling may be held. Each participant should receive a clean glass for samples to be given. Once samples have been consumed all parties will put their masks back on. In the end, patrons should be escorted back to a designated area from which they may leave the premises.

5. The overall run time of any tour, inclusive of any eating and/or alcohol beverage sampling, should not exceed 90 minutes. Tour guides should be wearing a mask at all times. Food must be available to patrons. Ventilation through the use of air conditioners or open windows/doors should be prioritized.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT ALL LOCAL AND STATE PUBLIC HEALTH ORDERS IN EFFECT MUST CONTINUE TO BE FOLLOWED.

As circumstances change, LED may need to amend or withdraw the guidance in this bulletin. LED will continue to provide updated guidance as promptly as possible.
